How to Sustain Harvest by Grace

The Word of God is a guarantee for anyone who truly serves the Lord. One such scripture that reveals this is Revelation 3:8, which reads, “I know thy works: behold, I have set before thee an open door, and no man can shut it: for thou hast a little strength, and hast kept my word, and hast not denied my name.”

Three important things worthy of note in this verse: An open door. Little strength. A faithful church. For every believer who sows faithfulness, devotion, and commitment to the things of God, there is a harvest waiting on the other side. You may have little strength but God’s Word remains sure.

In my previous blog post on Uncommon Harvest, I defined harvest as the yield of your labor, the expected results of your effort, and the end product of your well-nurtured sown seed on a well-prepared environment, as well as an open door to your next level.

However, this open door is not without its own adversaries, as Paul rightly says in 1 Cor.16:7-9. This begs the question: How can you sustain your Uncommon Harvest?

To sustain a thing means to have the ability to maintain its consistency and meet the needs of the present without compromising the needs of the future.

One way that God sustains everything in life in his ecosystem is through the provision of Grace. 1 Peter 5:10 says, ‘‘But the God of all grace, who hath called us unto his eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after that ye have suffered a while, make you perfect, stablish, strengthen, settle you.’’

Grace is God’s benevolence on the undeserving. This is what brings about forgiveness and blessings even when we fall short. Many scriptures such as Rom 5:1-2, 2 Cor 12:9, and Titus 2:11-14 shed more light on God’s grace.

In life, grace gives man access to his or her next level, open door, help, attention, attraction, blessing, and unusual kindness.

Sadly, many are unaware of who they are in God. You are an ebodiment of His grace. Therefore, how can one sustain an uncommon harvest by grace? It is one simple way: Build a Quality Relationship With the God of all Grace.

To do so, you must study His Word and commune with Him daily, Apostle Paul says in Phil.3:10, ‘‘That I may know him and the Power of his  Resurrection.’’ Furthermore, you must live a life of obedience. Grace is multiplied by acting upon instructions given by God.

As you focus on Jesus, never forget that the devil and his minions are out like a roaring lion, seeking to devour your harvest and shut the door to more harvest. So, stay guarded with God’s armour and fan the flames of your secret place daily.

Thoughts of God.
