It is never too late

Life has a way of making us believe the clock has run out on our dreams, our calling, or even our chance to make things right. But with God, time is never a barrier—He is the Redeemer of lost seasons, the One who can breathe new life into what we thought was gone forever. Whether you’re stepping into a fresh chapter at twenty or finding renewed purpose at seventy, His promises remain steadfast. The story isn’t over, and it’s never too late for God to turn the page and write something beautiful.

In this article, we will take a close look at the lives of Abraham and Sarah’s whose God’s divine plan played over, defying time, logic, and biology.

In Genesis 18:9-14, it is recorded how the Lord appeared to Abraham in the heat of the day. He showed great hospitality to the Angels who came in the form of men, who in turn prophesied Sarah’s pregnancy. Now Abraham and Sarah were old and well stricken in age.

If you are in this stage of life, here is what God is saying to you right now in Isaiah 43:18-19, “Remember ye not the former things, neither consider the things of old. Behold, I will do a new thing; now it shall spring forth; shall ye not know it? I will even make a way in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert.”

The Lord is able to restore the years you have lost.

However, what may be responsible for the stagnancy in your life could be your ignorance concerning your source, your capacity, your future, your support system, and your destination. As Hosea.4:6 rightly says, people perish for the lack of knowledge. So, what do you do?

1. Rise and Take Action

The prodigal son in Luke 15:18-20 said after squandering his inheritance “I will arise and go to my father, and will say to him, “Father, I have sinned  against heaven and before you, and I am no longer worthy to be called your son. Make me like one of your  hired servants. And he arose and came to his father.” This applies to anyone who realises the mistakes and loopholes causing the backwardness or stagnancy in their lives. God is waiting for you. Always. No matter what you may have done, His arms are always open to welcome and receive you. He is a God of restoration.

2. Through Prayer

The book of Psalms is a book of prayers and songs. David was a man of prayer; he prayed when things were great and when things went south. Here is a cue from David’s life. The system of this world is automatically designed to work against a child of God and the one of the greatest keys to winning this fight is through prayer. Pray often. Pray loud. Pray long.

A song by Donald Lawrence goes “Giants do die, the bigger they are, the harder they fall.”  Make your fears afraid of you!

4. Develop a Great Relationship with God
You cannot win life’s battles without God. He is the One who propels a man forward. He holds our futures in His hands and writes the pages with his fingers. If you feel like life has moved ahead of you, then hold the hands of the One who is in your tomorrow. With Jesus, everything happens beautifully in His own time. Stay rooted in Him. Develop intimacy with Him.

5. Don’t Give Up

Develop a resilient spirit. Have grit. Don’t get beaten down. Your best days are ahead of you! Refuse to give the devil the final say over your life and situation. Be full of faith and trust in God’s ability to turn things around for you.

6. Be Grateful

Give God quality praise. Engage the power of praise for all round possibilities. As simple as praise may sound to you, the Psalmist said “God is the King of all the earth: sing ye praises with understanding.” Praise is a response to the act of God in our lives. It is also a way to provoke his intervention. When we praise God, we experience victory, breakthrough, freedom, deliverance, revelation, healing, His presence, and the execution of judgement on our enemies. In His Presence, shame is taken away.  Conclusively, a lifestyle of faith, prayer, and praise is the ultimate key to moving from walking in God’s perfect timing and breaking the chains of stagnancy. Pray this with me: Father, I pray against every spirit of blockage and barrier blocking me from being close to You. Remove it, Lord! Amen.
